VALUATION OF TAURANGA BOROUGH
SU BSTA NT IA L IN UK EASE OVER LAST VALUATION. | j At the meeting of the Borough Council on Wednesday evening a letter was received from Air. 11. 11. Clemsou, borough valuer, forwarding the Valuation list, just completed, for the borough. The valuations were given as follows: Sect. 1 Sect. 2 £ £ Rateable value 17.505 17,451 Cap. value 305,538 313,520 Unimp, value 170,747 173,610 Value of improvements 134,791 139,910 Section one is that portion of the borough from the Spit to Elizabeth Street, and section two from Elizabeth Street to the borough boundary. Both the rateable and capital values shew an increase of approximately 50 per cent on those of the triennial valuation in 1918. The figures then were : Sect. 1 Sect 2. Rateable value 12,994 10,880 Cap. value 206,340 196,850 The unimproved value was not given in 1918,
