WESLEY GUILD CONCERT
A very enjoyable entertainment was held in Wesley Hall on November 23rd, when a very large audience thoroughly appreciated an altogether delightful programme. The. opening item took the form of a charming little children's play, entitled "The Teasey Tea Party." The following boys ai.d girls took their parts very cleverly :
Hostess, Margaret Playfair ; Maid (Jane), Madge Covell ; Miss Muffett, Florence Mabsy; The Queen of Hearts, Florence Rowe; Bo Peep, Milly Brewer; Red Riding Hood, Marie Bym ; HumptyDumpty, Laurie Wooster; Jack Homer, Fred Playfair. A special word of praise is due to little Miss Margaret Playfair, who gave a very charming and clever performance. A few musical items were rendered by Mesdames Christian and Robertson, Misses Brewer, Wellington and Covell; Messrs Tonkin, Covell and Wheatley. All the items were thoroughly appreciated. -The concluding feature of the programme consisted of a series of Tableaux, which proved most enjoyable. Among those who took part were : Mesdames Christian, Dawber and J. Simpson; Misses Covell, Little, Brewer, Wellington, Charteris, Simpson, and Kittie Hardie ; and Messrs Keam, Leed, Covell, Dawber, Oliver, Simpson, Wheatley, Playfair and Laurie Wooster. By special request a number of these items, including the childrens' "Teasey Tea-Party" and the Tableaux, will be repeated on Thursday, 16th inst., in the Wesley Hall. A very bright and enjoyable time is promised to those who avail themselves of this opportunity.
