Fighting is proceeding along the Pekin -Tientsin railway. Tsaokui's troops have commandeered all the rolling stock. Detachments of Anglo Indian troops have arrived, and are guarding 'he line and stations. Rqc July 15, 0. a.m. Pekin, July 13 .Attempts are being made to dissuade the Anfu generals from marching upon Pekin. The {susj pension of traffic between Pekin and Hankow hui caused the Foreign Legations to take steps to assure the continuation of the city's food silpp'y. It is reported thaf Admiral Gleaves, commander of the United States Pacific squadron, has arrived at Tientsin, where martial law has been proclaimed. Reuters Telegrams Rec. Cabinet has drafted a mandate, which it is understood orders the cessation of hostilities, and according to the Anfuites has appointed Smanchijui to be mili tary director.
