Trie document asseses the total payable by Germany to France as 7,228, 000,000 gold ma.ks, less 215,000, 000 for German construction and public improvements. The memorandum reckons that the amount payable, apirtfrom the war zone, is 50,000,000 ma.-ks, and the damages to churches, cathedrals, and public buildings at 75,000,000 marks.
