A very pleasant evening was spent at Mr T T Scott's residence on Tuesday last, wht?n a large mimber of settlers gathered to say farewell to Mr and Airs W 0 Gordon who are leaving the district to reside at Mangaweka, Mr Gordon has received an appointment with tho Farmers' Distributing Company. Daring the evening Mr JH Hunt presented Mrs Gordon with a p?ir of silver serviette rings and Mr Gordon with a pipe. The evening was devoted to dancing, interspersed with games, songs and reel • Nations, and tho fuuution' i.roved very ecjojable.
