, ing a decision. •J. Condon, Cl, a carpenter by occupation, appealed for time to permit Mm to finish his house at Hairini and to put in a crop of maize. Mr Hockly advised that appellant would be given an extension of time till August 29. Arthur Miller, Cl, a farmer, of Ohauiti, appealed on the ground that he "was the only man on the farm. He deposed that he acquired the property in February, 1916, and had effected considerable improvements. He was dairying and grazing. Mr Hockly said the Board would, get a report on the case. William J. King, of Oinanawa Falls, a married man two children, requested to be placed in Class C instead of Glass Bof the Second ' Division. —After hearing evidence the appeal "was allowed. D. Webb, plumber and partner in the Tauranga Hardware and Plumbing Company, appeared before the Board and pointed out that if his partner, a 02 man, were subsequent" ly classed as fit for service the business would have to be closed. He understood that five of his partner's brothers were on active service. Mr Hockley indicated that the partner, if classed fit, could appeal. - Mr Webb then withdrew his appeal and sa.it! he would go into camp ou the date originally fixed, September 12. 0. X Rowsell, of Tauranga, asked for uu adjournment of his case for three months, owing to the delicate state of his wife's health. The Medical Association also appealed for Dr A. H. Maciarlaue.— H. Bear withdrew his appeal.—The decisions in all these eases will be announced at Eotorua.
We repulsed powerful attacks. The enemy is held west of Antouil and Focesdebercy. A brilliant Italian counter-attack repelled the enemy in the valley of the Arbre.
