The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company held its monthly sale at Matamata on the 17th inst. There was a good yarding and a large attendance. Priceß were: —Fat cows £10 103 to £12 ss; fresh conditioned cows, £7 12s 6sd to £9 16^ store cows, £6 15s to £1 10s; 15 month steers, £5 10a to £6 2s 6d; bulls, Hi gna; dairy heifers, £11 6s to £12 10s; others, £8 to £9 10s; dairy cows, £14; good calvea, £4 7a 6d to £4 12s; weedy calves, 11s 6d to £1 13s; fat ewes, £1 5a 6d to £1 12s 6d; a.m. ewes in fair condition 13s to 15s, B«fid ewes, 7s Gd to 9s; store lambs, 10a 3d to lla.
