The High Commissioner's market report, dated London, February i), is as follows, quotations unless otherwise specified being average market prices on spot: — Meit. —All descriptions continue in active demand, owing to short supply and Biuall supplies of home-killed mutton and beef. Supplies consist chiefly of New Zealand lamb and American and Canadian beef, all at maximum price. Butter and Cheese.—Suiall supply at maximum prices. French and Dauieh butter have no import trade at present, but • resumption of impoitatioiu of Danish is anticipated iv couse^uence of negotiations progressing between the Governments.
Hemp.—The Manila market shows no change. In New Zealand the demand is chiefly for parcels already shipped and «v spot. Migii point soli* at auction this week at £96 Ids.
Wheat and Oats.—Market quiet Prices unchanged. •Small supply.
