KAIMAI NOTES.

The Public Woiks Department have made a start repairing the road over the hill. When finiehed the road will be a much improved and better graded road than the preaent neglected one. The milk supply is Keeping up well, the rain which tia9 fallen throughout the month having been very beneficial to the pastures. It will also give the turnips and maite a good start. The rain has interfered somewhat with haymaking, although no material damage has been done so far. Mr T. Scott, of Lower Kaimai, hae just safely stacked a splendid crop of bay which, when growing, was a perfect picture—cltver, cocksfoot and other English grasses. He lias also another paddock of grass of even heavier growth which he is just now busy cu*.--tlßg.
