Mr G. Elliot, Commissioner for the Auckland District on the Efficiency Board «ccmpani«d by Mr A. W. Gil lies, Advisor to the Efficiency Board in the Auckland District on farming matters arrived in Tauranga from Rotorua by motor car yesterday morning. The object of the trip is to enable Mr Elliott-to consult with the Farmers' Trustees Board* in the various districts and to advise them generally aa to their course of action and to bring the members ot the latter boards into closer personal touch with the Efficiency Board.
Yesterday afternoon Mr C. L\ Macmillan (Chairman) and Messrs H. J» Gill and T. Lemon (members) of the Tauranga Farmers' Trustee Board, met Messra Elliott and Gillies at the Star Hotel and spent the afternoon in discussing various matters- affecting the work" of the Board. As a result of the interview Mr Macmilllan *a Chairman of the Board, will probably call a meeting of business men in fautanga with a view to appointing one or more of their number to act with Mr Macraillan ea a Business Trustee Board under tbe Efficiency. A similar meeting will also be held at Te Puke to select one or two business men there to act with the present Te Puke members.
This morning Messrs Elliott and Gillies left for end LOpotiki, from whenco they return to Kotorua.
