"NEPTUNE'S DAUGHTER."

Moving Pictures have grewn to be recognised as part of our daily lives, acd in consequence, all kinds of photo-plays have come into existence —some romantic, some murderous, other viciojs, and many insipid. In the mad rush ta supply the demand, there have been thrown together I thousands of "thrillers," several thousand more cheap comedies, and a few praiseworthy for their beauty of conception and execution. Yet there is no medium which offers greater possibilities for the execution of romantic ideas than the screen. This h99 been recognised by the producers of "Neptune's Daughter," the great photo play, featuring Annette Kellerman, the Australian swimmer and ■ diver. There certainly could be no j more delightful diversion than Anrette Kellerman provides in this photodrama. One of the most thrilling incidents in the play is where the villain is tola off to murder Annette. She is burled from a cliff 60ft high, bound hand and foot. She escapes her bonds, but ij pursued relentlessly through the water by her would-be destroyer. This results in a fine series of swimming matches, and the ultimate death of the pursurer at the bottom of ibe sea. The struggle— the picture was taken from a glass chamber—is marvellously realistic. "Neptune's Daughter" will be shown at the Town Hall on Saturday next by tfrfc Frederic Snipman Enterprises Limited by arrangement with the Municipal Pictures.*
