Bay of Plenty Times WEDNESDAY, OCT. 6th, 1915 LOCAL AND GENERAL

- Accounts amounting to £897 lls 9 were passed for payment at the meeting of the County Council yesterday.

We are informed that tho Auckland Commercial Travellers aud Warehousemen's Association intend to hold a series of concerts throughout the Bay of Plenty next .month in aid of the Auckland Patriotic;pund. The dates decided on are as under: Tauranga, November 2nd; Te Puke, November 3rd; Whakatane, November 4tb; and Opotiki, November 5.

Cr G V Stewart informed the Tauranga County Council yesterday that tke survey of a large area of Crown lands in the Katikati district has been completed by Messrs Atkinson and Dunnage. These surveys had been effected as the result of representations made to HonWF Massey and the catting up of the land would result in a considerable extension of the Katikati settlement. No word had been received, as yet, regarding the offering of the areas for sale.
