Enemy's Enormous Losses.
Official— The Galician-Carpathian fighting is proceeding stubbornly.
The Germans brought up a strong fresh force and numerous artillery. Enormous losses were inflicted on the enemy's massed foi [nations. Some of our units have fallen back to the second line of defexiccs. Fight for Trenches. The enemy captured parb uf our trenches at Mount Makvuka. but we dislodged them next day, capturing twelve hundred prisoners. Enemy Assume Offensive. The enemy assumed the offensive on an extensive front in the region of Angelow en the Upper Lomuitz. German Cruisers in Baltic. Rep May 7, 1 45 p m Copenhagen, May 6 Four German cruisers and eight torpedoers were seen in the Baltic Bea, goiug east.
