The Tirau races were held yesterday. Results: — Hurdks—Starwood 1, The Count 2. Maiden Handicap — Anapuni 1, Firefly 2. Cup—Succession 1, Merry Dan 2. Ladies' Bracelet—Awatha 1, Tanungi 2_ County Handicap — Anapuni 1, Succession 2. Settlers' Race—Merry Dan 1. Welter—Nancy Till and Nearsbore deadheat.
Sweet Corn (now racing in Auckland) was bred in Australia.
Tete-a-tet p is a half-sister to the famous Bobrikoff.
The Spalpeen-Lobelia geliiug El Gallo in now in P. Jones' stabie. By the way Lobelia was once owned by Mr. G. W. Vercoe, an ex-Tauranga sportsman.
