•Justice. Higgins, in adjoining the wharf workers case on Monday, congratulated the Employers' Union, and the lenders above all, that a threatened disaster had been averted. The shipowners had exercised wise patience in not taking certain steps, which would have precipitated .a general struggle much greater than that of New Zealand.

•Justice Tleydon granted the application of the Amalgamated Railway
and Tramway Service Association for re-rrgistration as an industrial union under the Arbitration Act. The association's former registration was cancelled in It'll'. A mass mooting of ironworkers assistants is called for tomorrow afternoon. Otherwise there are no fresh developments in the dispute.
