UNIONISTS CLASH AT HUNTLY.

Mr Dixon, President of the new Arbitration Union at Huntly, accompanied by a number of members of the Union, entered the Coal Miners' Union onice and formally took possession. A number of the Federation Unionists were present at the time, and a collision between the forces occurred. Some of the ex-strikers, who were outnumbered, escaped through the windows. The prompt arrival of the police stopped the fracas. The examination of candidates for membership of the new union has been completed. "JOG men were accepted, 71 were rejected, and 17 held over. Many of those rejected. areQleaving the town. Considerable bitterness is evident amongst those remaining.
