' , BERLIN, May 7. An extraordinary scene took place at the trial of a locksmith. named Irenk eler -cm a charge of Jtuirdering .a jeweller and his wife and daughter in .January last. A. large number of fashionable woi men Hocked to the Court to witness the trial. Trentoeler, who is in an advanced | stage of consumption and in. a dying condition, presented a pitiable figure. Some paper parcels, containing the skulls of the victims, were produced in Court. The murderer narrated h o w he felled the wife of the jeweller, a nc! was escaping when the 'daughter entered the room and clung to him until ho felled her with a jemmy. , Trenkeler declares that he was driven to commit the murders by the irresistible longing for gold and jewels. An attack of. hemorrhage seized the wretched man and necessitated an adjournment.
