In their search for the notorious anarchist leader Bcmnot, who escaped -at Avsy after killing one detective and wounding another, the po- ; , lice surrounded an isolated house at Choisy le lioi, a small town on the Seine, live miles from Paris. \ The bandits ,who were inside the I building opened iire on the police, | and wounded several of those taking part in the attack. They were evidently well supplied with ammunition, and kept up a contiEUous (ire on their besiegers, who were unable to enter the building. ; A contingent of sappers was then sent for, and in a short space of time a tunnel was driven under the house. A large 'bomb was then exploded i under the building, which was -partially wrecked. j 1 The ride fire then ceased, and the > police entered the house. They found Bonn-ot lying seriously wounded in one of the rooms, while near him was Dubois, pwn-er of the house, dead. Prior to the capture an attempt was made at Grand Jean to assault I'ft man who was supposed to be an j Informer against Carouz, one of ! Bonnot's gang. It is believed that! Bonnet was the assailant in this I Case. j Bonnot died from his wounds. i
