The first event was the Auckland match, 300 yds and 500 yds. 10 shots. Thy best scores at the 800 yds range were Elliott (Auckland) 50, JHithie (Christchurch) 49, Atkinson (Auckland) 48, Anderson (Wanganui) 47. A large number of competitors each made 46. The weather is fine, but there is a strong ImlHing breeze.
