(Per Press Association.) WELLIN"GTON, Thursday. In the House of Representatives this afternoon, .Mr •). A. Ilanan repotted to the Mouse that the .privilege 'Committee had decided re No. 1 motion that, the Committee could not pursue the inquiry further, as IMr Massey had respectfully declined Lo produce the letter he quoted from. .1. Ward moved that further consideration of the matter be deferred without abrogating the right of Parliament or establishing a precedent. lie Motion No. 2, Mr Hanan intimated that there was no proof against Sir .1. Ward, Mr Vigor Brown, or Mr J. Payne. The 1-1 on. J. A. Ward said the question of Mr Mac-Master's condition was not before the House. He did not know Mr MeMasters, but it was not advisable to carry such an unpleoasant matter further.
