POSITION GROWING GRAVE
Sydney, Sept. 11. The Wailsend wheelers declined to accept the miners' advances to. return to w**>rk, and submit their grievancss to arbitration. •■■-.'"-'
The Employees' Federation called a meeting of the Wailsend. Lodge, at which a ballot was taken on the ques tion of miners doing wheeling. This they refused. A ballot of the whole members of the federation on the subject is now being taken. Should the result be against the miners wheelingthe\position will be extremely grave.
The theatrical employers' dispute has been settled.
A jstrike of wheat.'•handlers'', means that over a million bags stacked at country stations will now have to wait until after the disposal of the wool
traffic.
