WANGANUI VICTORIOUS

BALLARA.T, October 21.

The Wanganui win of the championship was very popular. The points were:—" Wanganui, test, 174; own choice, 222; Praban, 208 and 180; Collingwood, 198 and 182. Quickstep : Wanganui, 1-53; Prout's, 152; Ballnrat City, 150.

Mr Short, the King's trumpeter, adjudicator in the Ballarat competition*, stated he would like to have the Wanganui band engaged for twelve months to illustrate the kind of musical material available in Australasia.
