A MAIN ROAD JUNCTION

At the monthly meeting of the Te Puke Road Board on Saturday Mr T N. Diprose waited on the Board in regard to the condition of the road on the western side of the township lead-ing-from tbo "No. 2 road to his property. He said that the road was in bad repair, and required something doing to it before th* milking season He specially asked that a lump be taken off tbe road near its junction with tho main coast road and that a proper »pproacl), with a set of pipes, be made at the intersection of th tw<> roads Some boles in the thoroughfare al-o rpqmre I n't'-ntion, il'ssr.-. II Douglas and Barrow f-ivnured rhc insertion of a wooden culvert-'at the junction.

The Board decided to inspect the ro.jff, ii'iii utter che naeetius aconrd ingly did so, in company with Messrs T N. Diprose and D. J. Mcftwen

After inspection it was decided that "two wooden culverts were required on theunin road, at the points whore it is . intersected by the No 2 road aad the roan" leading to Mr Diprose's.

before the County Council, and ask the. latter body to contribute half the cost of the culverts

Mr Diprose thanked the members of the Board for the favourable cuusidera tion shown to his application.
