W ELLINGTON, July 21. In the Supreme Court to-day Riwi Wallace, a young half caste, was ad mitted to probation for 12 months for theft at Otaki and was ordered to pay £2 12s costs of prosecution. Kenneth McGregor, a youth, came up for se itenee for indeesnt assault at Marton, and was admitted to probation owing to his youth. His Honor said that for two such offences prisoner was liable to an indeterminate sentence.
