It was decided to advertise in the Bay of j Plenty Times, asking the natives in the neighbourhood, who are desirous of taking part in the Qovernor's reception, to send in their names to Mr Brabant as soon as possible. Mr Brabant was instructed to maki all arrangements in connection with the display to be given by the natives. The matter of arranging for the erection of a platform and suitable decorations was left in the hands of Mi Bull. Mr Phillips undertook to arrange for # music for the proceedings, both during the day and in the evening. It was decided to hold the banquet in the Star Hotel and to fix the price of tickets at £1 Is each, same to be obtainable from the Town Clerk, County Clerk, Messrs Phillips. Bharp, and G. 4. Ward. Besolved to limit the number of tickets for the banquet to 50. ° The address that is to be presented to His Excellency has bten drafted by Mr Tunks, and forwarded to Lord Plunket's private secretary for approval.
