Mr David Wilson has been elected «. trustee-, of the To 'Puke Land Drainage Board. Air Thomas, a well-known resident of Coromandel, is spending a holiday with friends in Tauranga. Miss Simpson,' wlu> has been spondjing a holiday m'the south, returned I to Tauranga by yesterday's steamer. Mr Geo. Gammjui, one of the directions of Messrs G-. A. Ganiiman and Co., is paying a visit to this district. Mrs G. H. Mann, of Opotiki,, arrived by this afternoon's steamer, ti'iul leaves for the 'Upper Thames tomorrow. Sir Johm J>icksr.n-T > oy i mlcr, the Go-vernor-elect of New Zealand, will join the steamer Macedonia at Marseilles on May 13.— Home cable. 3fr G. L.
