A SHIPPING DISASTER.

(Keceived 20, 12.3 a.m.) London, April 17. Tbe steamer Minnehaha struck at midnight during a fog. Tbe passengers rushed en deck in their night attire. The captain persuaded many to return to their cabins and dress. After ascertaining the depth of wnter in the forahold the boats were lowered and the passengers taken ashore, the crew remaining aboard. Motor cars, pianos and machinery were jettisoned, but the Minnehaha was not floated.
