AUSTRALIAN ELECTIONS.
Received 17, 5 p.m. SYDNEY, April 17. la the last House of Representative the Fusionists held 17 seats for Vie toria, Labour 4, and Independents 1 The new House it is represented by 1 ; Fnsionists, 10 Labour, and 1 Independent. J3outh Australia' 3 representation remains unchanged : 4 Laboui and 3 Fusionists. Queensland has ex changed 5 Fusionists and 4 Laboai representatives for 3 Fusionists and 6 Labour. Westralia has changed froa 3 Fusionists and 2 Labour to 2 Fusionists and 3 Labour, and Tasmania Iron 4 Fusionists and 1 Labour to 2 Fusionists and 3 Labour. (Received 18, 8.15 a.m.) Sidney, April 18. Queensland lias moved into line with the other States by placing three Labour senators ahead. On the present showing Labour has 23 seats in the Senate to 13 held by the Fusionists. Mr Fisher has been returned. At Brisbane, on Saturday, a great gathering at the station gave him an enthusiastic reception. lie leaves for Melbourne on Thursday.
