The countess' only lover was Bordenski, whom the husband shot with a revolver in her arms. The evidence showed that a man named Stalk killed himself for love of the countess. The conutess violently accused Naumoff in her efforts to clear herself of the charge of inciting Nauruoff to minder Kama rowski, though Naumoff's love for her seems to continue.
