MELBOURNE, March. 13. Pcftrani Armitage, who was a member of Bir E. Miaalrieton'a An* tarctic expedition, committed suicide in a ledruuui ut ihe Melbourne Club. lie was found lying dressed in his evening clothes, with his Antarctic medals on his breast, clutching a Colt's revolver in his left band He was shot through the forehead. No cause has been assigned for the suicide LONDON March 14. Mr E. Shackleton, in the course of an interview, said that Armitage, wlnso suicide is reported from Melbourne, was a loyal and zealous comrade, good in ,any emergency, and always ready for work.
