PERSONAL NOTES, o Captain Young left by Friday's steamer, on a visit to Auckland. M'si E. Adams left on Friday on a (h-OAVlay trip to Auckland and\fWanganui. Mr A. Lodtr lefi by Friday's steanxr on a visit to Uie northern capital Mr H v Tanner, who has been spending a holiday here, left for Auckland on Friday. Miss Foxcroft, of Cambridge, who has teen visiting relatives here, left on her return on Friday evening. Lr Mays, inspector of stock, arrived from Rotorua on Friday and left for the coast by tbe Ngatiawa the same evening. Mr Mathieson, local manager of the Bank of New Zealand, leaves to-mor-row on a months holiday. He is being relieved by Mr St. George, of Ccromandel. Mr Stanley Adams, third son of Mr J. C. Adams, left #or Auckland on Friday, and leaves Mie capital uity on Wednesday for Varcouvcc, where he purposes residing for some iime. Xi A. Skeates, of the well-known firm of Messrs Skeates Bros., jewellers, of Auckland, Accompanied by Mrs Skeates, arrived by motor-car on Friday morning. The journey to Tauranga was made via Waikato, Rotorua, and Oropi. The car is an S h.p. Darracq and has accommodation f<r four passengers. Mr Skeates found the roads somewhat soft, owing to recent rains, /between Rotctua md Tauranga, >but the cat negotiated the hills without any assistance. During the'f stay \Mr and Mrs Skeates are the guests of Mr and Mrs Smedley, of Welcome Bay.
