THE INTERMENT.

WELLINGTON, June 13
Th« Acting-Premier states that nothing will be decided in connection with the interment of the late Premier until the arrival of Mrs St-d---and the members of the family,, who are expected to reach Wellington by the Oswes'try Grange early on Saturday morning. Time yesterday did aot permit Mrs Seddori's wishes beM&g obtained by cable.
Though nothing 1 is definitely decided it is believed that the remains ol the late Premier will be interred here on a site to be chosen at Karori in the course of a day or so for the approval of Mrs Seddon. Mrs Bean (eldest daughter),, of Christchurch, arrived this morning and Mrs Morice, Grey mouth, is on her way here to meet her mother on arrival.
The New Zealand Rugby Union authorities are asking all affiliated unions to postpone the fixtures arranged for next Saturday.
The engineers' institute to-day voted £50 towards a national memorial to Mr Seddon, who was an associated member of that body. It is u%^ dcrstood that steps will be taken to erect a statue of the deceased statesman.
The Acting-Premier suggests that the West Coast should forego its deep personal claims as to the place of in torment, as it would be in keeping with his status in the Empire that Mr Seddon should be buried in the Empire City. GREYMOUTH, June 13. After Dr. Morice's death Mr Seddon expressed a wish that he might be buried alongside him in the Greymooth cemetery, and it is thought here that he will be interred as desired.. ,
