A CEACK CYCLIST.
Injured' whilst training. 'It was some 14 months ago, ' said Mr J. G. Slight, the crack Martou cyclist to a special reporter, 'that I found I was unequal to riding my bicyle. I was very sorry to lay it aside, but had no help for it. I felt internal pains when riding, and suffered greatly from nervousness and weakness. I was unable to sleep properly, ate little, and altogether was in a poor way. I consulted
several doctors who prescribed and ordered liniments, but I obtained litle relief. I had evidently strained some internal organ, and my stomach appeared disorganised. One day I read in the paper a testimonial given by an athlete who had been cured by Dr Williams' pink pills and whose case had been much worse than mine, so I gave them a trial.' 'What result did you experience?' '•-... 1 1 have been been better ever since,' was the ready reply. < The firet box brought a great improvement, and three boxes completely cured me. All nervousness and unpleasant internal symptoms have* left me and I can do a2O mile ride on my bike and enjoy it. Manual work which previously I could not perform, now does not affecfc me in the least.' Writing from Spyt f onfein, a sergeant in the Army Service Corps says : — 1 tell you it's a quick thing to be on active service. We have captuied plenty of Boers lately, and they are getting wiped off the face of the earth by thousands. They am the biggest cowards the world could produce in fighting abilities on the battlefield. When they are wounded they cry like b?g girls— when .they are killed they say nothing. We have had plenty of their wounded, so I know exactly how they behave. '
