TE PUKE NOTES.

On Friday evening last tho long looked for subscription dance came off in No 1 School. AH the arrangements were admirably, carried out and the result was an exceedingly successful and enjoyable dance. Excellent masic was contributed by Miss Snodgrass, of Tauranga. Miss S. Vercoe and Mrs Djwell kindly played the extras. Supper on a very elaborate scale was catered for by Mr j B. King, about 20 couples partajciDg of the sumptuous r^pw^at midnight. Divine service was txraduct* d by Mr Jordan in the Mission Hall on Sunday afternoon. In the evening Mr Porter officiated in the Te Puke Hall and Mr Jordan in the Upp*»r Hall. Mr Morrison, Manager of the Te Puke Gold Beef Company V jmins, has just reoeived the sal intelligence of the death of his brother.
