Potatoes :— A good demand existed during the past week for potatoes of good quality. Maize:— Arrivals totalled 900 sacks, by the Ngunguru, Terranora and Clansman, part being stored for higher prices. Lines on the wharf sold for 2s 6d and the market has a downward tendency, there not being any outside demand. Onions: — These continue very dull, really prime samples are worjth £3 to £3 10a.~ Butter :— New Zealand Dairy Association, Anchor Brand and Grown Brand, Is wholesale. First quality dairy, wholesale 7d, retail 9d; second quality, 6d wholesale. Fresh eggs, Is 6d wholesale, Is 9d retail. Bacon and hams : — Bare sides, 8d ; hams B£d to ,9d. Flour :— Local, wholesale, £8 lOs. Bran :-— loolb sacks, £3. Sharps :— 2oolb sacks, £4 ss. Oatmeal :— -£9 per ton, 255, £10 10s.
