THE MUNICIPAL REFORM ACT.

The following additional regolations under the Municipal fie. form Act, 1898, l are gazetted. Tfie Town Clerk is liable to a penalty not exceeding £5 in every case where he refuses or wilfully neglects, or unreasonably delays : (1) To place on the burgess list the name of any person who makes personal application or a written claim for enrolment as provided by paragraph C or A of sub-clause 3 of Clause 2 of tbe principal: regulations ; or (2) to faithfully and promptly perform any other duty imposed on him by the aforeeaid Act or principal regulation, if Council refuses or neglects or unreasonably delays to keep at the Town Cleii'a office a supply of blank printed claim formi fq" tbe free nse of claimants, as provided by suU clause 3 of Clause 2 of tbe principal regulations, or to faithfully and promptly perform any other duty impose*) on it by the aforesaid Act or principal nguiationp, every person (whether Twwn Clerk or an? member of the Council) who is a party to or responsible for such refusal, neglect, or delay is severally liable to a penalty not exceeding £5.
