KATIKATI ROAD BOARD.

A meeting of the Board was convened for March 19th at the Hall, but only three members being present, it was adjourned to Thursday, the 24th, at 1 p.m. There were present at the Hall : — Messrs J. Killen, J.P., Hoeing, Wilson, and M. J. Stewart. Mr Killen took the Chair, on the motion of Messrs M. J. Stewart and J. Wilson.

The minutes of Mar. sth meeting were read and confirmed, and the Clerk's report of outward correspondence read and approved.

The Chairman was granted leave of absence on his written application.

A reply was received from the County Clerk that the Bowentown road would be repaired by the Council, but that they would not hand ovei the balance of the Te Aroha track grant to the Board.

A letter was received from C. Goodridge and others, asking for repairs on their district road to the extent of £5. The Hon. Clerk was instructed to reply their road would be repaired as soon as possible, but that reports already asked for would take all present funds.

The Hon. Clerk was further directed to fix advertisements in the Bay of Plenty Tikes, relative to the Katikati R.D. in minute book with reference to the Government Valuation of Land Act Objections Court.

Mr Killen was authorised to get the bridge specifications from Mr Simms's office, Waihi, by messenger as soon as convenient,

The bridge contract was then let, affeer some discussion, to Mr W. J. G-ray, who was asked to be present. The amount agreed on, £12, was to include preparation of plans, but not earthworks at the approaches.
