A BACHFLORS' CLUB RAIDED
Frasti, -vritnin the province of Eome rejoices in a Bachelors' Union. The other day, the members of this club met to protest against tbe frivolity of the maidens of Erascati, condemning the loudness of their dress, the feathers, ribbons, and furbelows, and their conduct in general. As the result of the meeting, tho members of the union determined to boycott those ladies who heeded not their manifestoes, and likewise to do all they could to prevent them from marrying. The ladies determined to protest. They went to the clubhouse of their enemies, and bearded the lions in their den, tore up their manifestoes, forced their way into the clubrooins, and with cudgels threatened the young men with vengeance. No blood was shed, but it is stated that the bachelor members, on leaving the clubhouse, appeared to be very much cowed.
