POLICE COURT.

MONDAY, JULY 4, 1892. (

[Before R. S. Busb, Esq., R,M;] j

Tho case of Graham v. Smith for alleged illegal impounding of cattle at Maungarangi, near Maketu, was called on, judgment having heen reserved from last Court day. \ Mr Moss appeared for informant, and M\ Humphreys for defendant. The Bench stated that on looking at the map it appeared that the land in question from which the cattle had heen impounded was an Education Reserve. A telegram had been sent to the Registrar of the Native Lands Court for information but no reply had yet been received. It would be desirable therefore to further reserve judgment until information on this point was to hand.
