C, Gillespie, local manager for the Kauri Timber Company, lost their lives while bathing in the Kaneranga river at Paranyai. Another young lady, Miss Carpenter, had a narrow escape while attempting to save them. \ . FATAL ACCIDENT. Wellington;. March 31.— A young man, Otto Campton, while engaged excavating some ground at the new Lunatio Asylum at Pororua yesterday, was buried alive under a fall of earth. He was takea out and brought to the Hospital, where he died this afternoon.
