PETITION TO GOVERNOR TO SUMMON PARLIAMENT.
December 19.— Yesterday a letter addressed to the Governor, was forwarded with 15 sheets of a petition containing 1617 signatures* asking him to summon Parliament at an early date; The letter states that s large number of copies of the petition aie still in course of signature in the City and suburbs, and also that copies have been forwarded to other parts' of the Colony, and will be transmitted to Lord Onslow during the next few days.
