H. Lee suggests getting the Government to send one <& their experts to report on the Te Puke Goldfield coal field. The suggestion is a good/ one, and the Prospecting Association shouln apply to Government to jypry it out. . rThe cutter Lee has been lying on the Makettl bar since Sunday, unable to get off. Mr Bodell has been asked for assistance. The vessel wa» on her way to Auckland with sulphur from Matat^. Mr Bodell was sending aid to-day when he received a telegram saying she was now safe. A meeting of creditors in the estate of James Kelly was called at the Court House this morning, No proofs were put in. The bankrupt, for whom Mr- Moss appeared, stated that he got involved through the Thames mail oon tract taken over by his brother through the similarity of names. The creditors at the Thames brought a test case against him, and succeded, and got a judgment summons against him, and he had fifed to save being sent to gaol. The liabilities were £losmoit of whioh were in* mured by bis brother. * During the last four vei»rs he fcftd been oat of employment half bit time.
