'• "The wooden stairs" (coated with Cyanite) "resisted strong flames well, and practically were not weakened by them." •'I havo no doubt that otanitk would to found most useful in preventing the spread of fire, and I should be glad to sea it More ' generally used on Wood, Canvas, and other Materials in Theatres, Pnblic Buildings, and Private Houses.". ' " I consider that wooden stairs coated- wi& oyanite are, in case of fire, much safer tha» stone." Cyanite has been already largely used .n many parts of the World in Public Buildings, Houses, Stablos, Theatres, &c, including the following London Theatres, viz. : — Lyceum, Savoy, Princess's, Standard, CriterioniNovelty, New Priace's, Empire, &c. Cyanite is a Colourless (or Coloured) Fire Proof Staining, Non- poisonous, which renders all substances to which it is applied uninflammable, and also acts as an excellent Priming for Paint or Varnish {thus saving all ordinary priming), the material so primed remaining* fire-proof. .
