MELBOURNE, April 11.

Victorian Government hav.'ng made inquiries about the Russian war vessels at the Cape, Sir Hercules Robinson telegraphs, six men-of-war, belonging to Russia, left Capetown at tho end of February, their ostensible destination heing Europe and India. Lloyds Australian war risks have increased five shillings per cent. April 12.

The Merchant Shipping and Underwriters Association has announced the following article i.or war risks for insuring vessels trading between England and the Australasian Colonies : — Outward steamera, 3 s 4d por cent. ; sailing vessels, ls 2d per cent. .Homeward steamers, 3s 4d per cent. ,* sailling vessels, 3s 4d per cent.
