TAURANGA JOCKEY CLUB ACCOUNTS.
TO THE EDITOB. Sib,~- Hearing of some rather unsatisfactory remarks made by non-subscribers to the Club, I, as honorary secretary to the Club for , many years past, think it nay duty, through your valuable paper, to ask those parties to B become subscribers to the Club, in which ™ event they would acquire the privilege of examining the books and satisfying themselves re the state of the accounts. The accounts of the Club have usually been audited by two respectable gentlemen, they not being offioe holders, — Yours, &c,

TO THE EDITOB.
Sih, — I beg to call your attention to the fact that up to this time, so far as I know, the annual meeting for the election of School Committee ha% not been advertised in the local papers. The date fixed by the Act ia the fourth Monday in- January,, which will be next Monday, and the meeting should be advertised 14 days previously. No doubt it has appeared with others in the Auckland papers, but the householders ought to know the time and place of eleotion. — I am, &c, Householder.
