THE BRITISH AND COLONIAL ADVERTISERS' ASSOCIATION. . Central London Offices : ALBERT BUILDINGS, 51, QUEEN VICTORIA STREET, E.C. Correspondents invited throughout the Umpire. /COLONIAL PRINTERS, Publishers, and \_^ Newspaper Proprietors in the Colonies or the Provinces are reminded : — 1. That bonafide Advertisements from good Firms, and for long terms, may be secured by tho agency of this Association. 2. That British Advertisers are yearly increasing iv numbers, and are more ready than ever to advertise in Colonial Papers. 3. The prospects of the immediate Federation of the Empire will encourage increased enterpriso and publicity by British Manufacturers in the Colonial Press. 4. The Colonial Press is inadequately known in Groat Britain. Influenced by these facts, the Manager of the British and Colonial Advertisers' Association (Colonial Department) submits — A. That, as the Mercantile and Publishing business of the Empire is nearly allied and interchangeable, and as Publishers have unusual opportunities of promoting business for Advertisers, Manufacturers prefer doing business with Merchants who use the Press, and with . Commercial Publishers. B. That all Colonial Publishers may reckon upon an increase of Advertising business in proportion to the interest shown in the business of their Advertisers. Advertisers are satisfied with very little encouragement, but without it renewals arc difficult. c. Some Publishers already act upon the common sense procedure of promoting* business for their Advertisers, and accept suitable merchandise at export rates in payment of Advertisements. This plan works well, as a Commission business is cultivated for the Colonial Publisher, and the Advertiser gets return business promptly, or does not feel himself neglected. The Manager is prepared to attend to the above or similar business for Members only, securing subscriptions and ordinary advertisements on usual Commission, which should be liberal. The Subscription to the Association is One Guinea por annum. The first year's Subscription need only be remitted by P. 0.0., as subsequent dues will go to account in the advertisements that will be collected. Copies of Papers, Advertisements and Subscription Forms, with full particulars to save time, should be sent, clearly addressed, to the Offices of THE BRITISH AND COLONIAL ADVERTISERS' ASSOCIATION. Albeet Buildings, 51, Queen Victoria Street, London, E.C. JLgencies, or other business desiderated, should form the subject of a private letter. P.S. — During the current year Advertisements to a very large extent have been inserted by the Manager iv the following (among many) first-class publications : — The Catalogue and tho Guide to tho International Health Exhibition (W. Clowes & Sons) ; The Sanitary Record ; The Medical. Record (Smith, Elder & Co.); The Field; The Architect ; The Yachtsman ; The Banner ; The Eoclesiastical Gazette ; The Freemason ; The British and Colonial World ; The Issue of the Auckland Agricultural Company, Limited; &c.
