AUCKLAND.
- , . Monday. Mrs Fairburn, widow of Mr W. J. Fairburn, Upper Symond street, died yesterday ; aged, 70. The steamer Doric, bound for Auckland, reached Hobart. on Saturday. Small-pox, measels; and chicken-pox prevailed, and one death had occurred.
The Eev. Mr Spurgeon has forwarded £272 as a contribution, received in Launceston; towards the Auckland Baptist Tabernacle.
