WELLINGTON
At the R.M. Court Robert Atkinson, who was charged with horse-whipping Mr McKcllar, Collector of Customs, was sentenced to six weeks' hard labour. The prisoner pleaded as an extenuating circumstance that when the enquiry was held after his dismissal from the Customs, Mr McKellar suppressed certain evidence in his favour.
