NGARUAWAHIA .
A number of Aotea Hauhaus have interfered with tho construction of the new road from Raglan to Kawhia. They informed the Raglan Resident Magistrate of tlieir intention, but when they ordered the native labourers to leave off work, the latter refused. Tawhaio - prevented the obstruc tionists from carrying out their intentions, pending the Kopua meeting, which will be heidshortly. The construction of the road is ripw/being proceeded with.
