BUBNSIDE STOCK SALES. At Biirnside on "Wo'duesday a vCI T 'buoyant. sale took place in regard to steep. 'The prices realised per lb for sheep worked out 'higher than on any' previous occasion! during the. past 35 years- Pat" cattle were* 'also sold at vory hig'h rates, prices onl'hei average working out at 65s pe,r 1001b. Pigs were again particularly "dear. Sheep.—'A' small yarding, numbering 13-31 'head. With .the exception of a few pens of extra prime tsheep, the yarding was of a mixed quality. Owing to the small num'ber forward competition was exceedingly keen, and: prices showed an adlvance of from 3s to 5s per 'head on last week's rates. Extra prim<c 'heavyweight wethers made from 72s 6d up to 84s; prime from 58s to 67s 6d; medium from 48s to 565;. light audi unfinished kinds from 38s upwards. kxtrn. Nothing' of outstanding' merit was offered. Prime (bullocks inutile from £24 up to £29; imc,diunit from! £1!) to £23; 'light and unfinished kinds from £l6 upwards.
